i've been doing alot of research on wayfinding and signage, as i'm finding it very difficult to come up with something i love for this part of the project. I've come across this webpage. it's a case study of wayfinding and it does an excellet job of laying out what to do and what not to do and how people use wayfinding systems. lots of good examples too.

Scientists in 1954

This is very funny. It's crazy to think that the scientists in the 50's actually thought like this.

(In case you can't read it, the type says...
" Scientists from the RAND Corporation have created this model to illustrate how a "home computer" could look like in the year 2004. However the needed technology will not be economically feasible for the average home. Also the scientists readily admit that the computer will require not yet invented technology to actually work, but 50 years from now scientific progress is expected to solve these problems. With teletype interface and the Fortran language, the computer will be easy to use." )

New Entry

So i've discovered this new phenomenon of the "mommy business card". I was completely baffled by this. All of a sudden all these housewives have business cards. Their "business" is their kids, and their title is "mommy to ...". It's actually pretty entertaining when you think about it. This could be a whole new line of clients for the designers of America.
I know my mom has been aking for some.

So it seems that not all those logos are showing up on the page. Hmm....not really sure why. I hope they help anyways. For FYI most came from, just type in "train"

Logo Examples

I was online tonight and found many great train logos from all over the world. Some are just train systems and some are complete transit lines. It's really interesting how strange and diverse they all are. All of these are really great inspiration to me when i'm at a sort of impass of what to do with my own logo. I'm posting some here, I hope they can help everyone else spark an idea.
